Recipe: 30 mins Baked Garlic

GarlicJust a quick little post whilst I remember - it's not something I'm cooking at the moment so no photos but still worthy of a posting. I will add some photos the very next time I make this. Baked Garlic .... a lovely, easy little accompaniment to most roast dinners. This is the method my old French neighbour always used - thank you Germaine. x

  • I allow 2 whole heads of garlic for each person.
  • Olive Oil, Salt & Pepper
  1. Wash the garlic - do not peel but leave it whole.
  2. Put into a small dish oiled with a tablespoon of olive oil.
  3. Cook in a hot oven whilst the roast potatoes are cooking for around 30 minutes.
  4. Mix some salt & pepper with a little water and sprinkle over the garlic a few times during cooking.
  5. Serve with the roast - the garlic will be soft, creamy & mild and unlike garlic cooked by any other method.
